Building Resilience in Medicine (BRIM) for Final Year Med Students & Interns

Building a skill-set to withstand, recover and grow from the stress derived from a high-pressure career is vital to reduce the psychological distress that can be experienced. 

The BRIM program aims to effect positive and enduring changes in participant's personal and professional lives.

This *free* one-day workshop will provide interns with resources, tools and supports in relation to mindfulness, time management and positive psychology.

The workshop is aimed towards Final Year Medical Students and Interns who will be able to gain key strategies to manage good health and wellbeing during their internship and prepare the ground for them to thrive onto the next stage of their doctor career!

Hosted by Doctors’ Health SA, Medical Director, Dr Roger Sexton and the following facilitators:

“Mindful Self-Care for the Medic” - presented by Dr Maura Kenny (Consultant Psychiatrist)

“Medical Professional Time Management”- presented by Mr Hugh Kearns (Time Management Consultant)

“Mental Health in a Nut Shell” - presented by Associate Professor Jill Benson (GP)

The workshop commences at 8.00am for registration, then main program at 8.30am.  Refreshments and lunch are included with the day finishing at 4.00pm.
